Entrée – in a introspective period (some time ago) I considered 3 high levels of influent people for me personally.
1st level is from the very personal relations that are intimate – close or relatively close relationships;
2nd level is represented by the people in this project – contemporary people I had more or less personal exposure to and with contact relatively possible;
3rd level, and maybe the most extensive, reaches beyond contemporary or my probable possibility to reach personally (besides not being alive when the case) – and I wrote this post about them:

These (below) are the shoes of some of the people that have influenced the way I see, understand and appreciate the world. It’s been quite an adventure to get in-touch with them, thank them for their contribution and convince them to pose from knee down. (you can navigate right & left in the Flickr album below)

I believe it’s very important to become aware which are the people that have influenced one’s views and belief system, and I thought it would be a good idea to share this incentive.
This brought another perspective, that we each have an influence on the world around us, big or small, whether we are aware or intend it or not. Even passivity encourages passivity.
Why through shoes? Well there’s that saying to “walk in someone else’s shoes” – when it comes to consider expanding your perspective trough third party – outside of comfort zone views. What this does is to simplify what some tent to analyse when judging the person you see in the photos – reducing all the prejudice we tend to attribute to aspects we might find in the face or any other upper parts or properties of the body (skin colour, age, sex, silhouette, so on).
Finally, these are the people that influenced me in some way. Which are the people that have influenced you? And how do you in turn influence the people around you?
